FAQ's REGARDING WEB SITE USE |
Q - I can't open some Library documents! What gives? A - Library documents may be stored in formats that require you to have certain software to open them. In some cases, like with Adobe Acrobat .PDF files, you will need to install the Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin on your system. Some files might be in Microsoft Excel or Word format requiring you to have that software on your PC in order to open and read them. Q - I can't get access to parts of the site, why? A - Only members of the community association who have registered on the site are permitted access or use of certain secure areas and functions, and you must be logged in. The Member Login box is at the top of the home page; if you need to register, click on "Not registered?" below the Login button. SOME community sites require you enter a 'Community Code' to register. You must obtain this code from your Association manager or Board. Contact info is viewable on the registration page cited above. Q - What is a cookie? A - It is a small, harmless file the web siite places on your hard drive when you register so you won't have to logon every time you come to your HOA web site. Q - What areas of the site are secured? A - The following areas/functions require member logon:
A - Technologies that fall below 10% in market share are not tested on or supported. The product is tested on, and supports current versions of Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome. The site has also been tested and warrantied on all current popular tablets and smartphones. |
What information do we collect? We collect solely the information you provide when registering on our site. It is stored in an encrypted MySQL database. What do we use your information for? Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways: - To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs). - To send periodic emails or SMS texts. The email address and/or mobile phone number you provide during registration will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your HOA. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you may unsubscribe by updating your profile at any time. You may also choose not to list your personal contact information in the Member Directory. How do we protect your information? We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information, including SSL encryption of data onn the base web server. Do we use cookies? Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits. Do we disclose any information to outside parties? We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Third party links Occasionally, at the HOA's discretion, we may include links to outside websites. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites. California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent. As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into the website, clicking on the Profile link and modifying their profile and preferences. Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older and are homeowners within the Association. Online Privacy Policy Only This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.
